A Chocolate Chai Goji
Whilst this isn’t a recipe post (I wish it were!!), it is worth celebrating those who create culinary delights with such artistic flair! Especially (we think) when it so beautifully showcases the deliciousness of raw food fare.
One of the benefits of raw food cuisine is that desserts become completely guilt-free as they are packed full of nutrient-rich healthy ingredients. Food’s foremost role is to nourish the body – but there is no reason why it shouldn’t also nourish the senses!
Food is also to be enjoyed! As Australian Wholefood cook & author Jude Blereau once wrote, “Food is a deeply joyful and delicious part of life, especially sweetness.”
These incredibly beautiful mandala cakes I’m pretty sure would bring much joy to the beholder! Here’s their story:
“Los Angelese Chef Stephen McCarty is giving new meaning to the relationship between art and cuisine. Under the name Sukhavati Raw Desserts he creates cakes which are made from all vegan ingredients and decorated with exquisitely designed Mandalas…..
…..The colors used in McCarty’s cakes are all made from natural plant and fruit extracts. Some of the mouth-watering flavors include banana jungle nut butter chocolate cheesecake, coconut lime raw vegan cheesecake and acai blueberry mango cheesecake….”
