Most of us are pretty aware that we’re being marketed to by the food industry a lot of the time. You only have to turn on the TV and count the number of food/beverage commercials you see to understand that.
And we also know that a marketer’s job is to get us to buy a product – regardless of whether the product is ‘good’ or ‘bad’. We are seeing more and more ‘false claims’ and dodgy labelling coming under scrutiny.
But are you aware of just what lengths marketers will go to, to convince you that a completely unacceptable product is ‘perfectly healthy/safe/natural’?
