USA: A ‘Vegan Country’ By 2050?
This fascinating article from The Raw Food World is based on statistics gathered in 2012, so we could probably assume that the numbers have grown even more since then given the growing movement to label/ban GMO’s, the increase in demand for more humane farming practices, a growing consciousness of our ecological footprint and the increasing evidence of the health benefits of a plant-based diet.
Whilst Clean Food Now is not a ‘strictly vegetarian’ site (we acknowledge its ‘not everyone’s preference’), we do wholeheartedly embrace vegetarian and vegan eating and believe it has a place in every ‘healthy/clean diet’ in whatever amount you wish to incorporate. There are many significant benefits to this style of eating for your health and the planet, so even a few vegetarian/vegan meals a week makes a positive impact.
